  • Member of the Spanish Society of Obesity Surgery (SECO).
  • Member of EAES (European Association of Endoscopic Surgery).
  • Staff of the General Surgery and Digestive System Service of the San Carlos University Clinical Hospital - Section of Esophagus-Gastric and Bariatric Surgery, from 2006 to the moment.
  • Associate Professor of the Department of Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid.
  • Private practice in General Surgery and Digestive System in Hospital Quirón San Camilo 2012-2016.
  • Trained in the section of Esophago-Gastric and Bariatric Surgery, under the direction of Prof. Torres Garcia and Dr. Sanchez Pernaute.
  • Surgical management and experience in the most widespread procedures in bariatric surgery: Vertical Gastrectomy (sleeve gastrectomy), Gastric Bypass, and biliopancreatic bypass duodenal cross type and SADIS.
  • Direct collaboration with endoscopy, in POSE, APOLLO, Endosleeve and Endobarrier procedures.
  • Accredited by the Spanish Society of Obesity Surgery (SECO) with the Diploma of Competence in Bariatric Surgery, completing all phases of the training program.
  • Author and co-author of several articles published in national and international journals of the specialty, book chapters and numerous communications to national and international conferences.
  • At present, he collaborates with the constant surgical practice, weekly activity in monographic external consultations and collaborates in several research projects and in the teaching activity for students of the degree of Medicine of the UCM, MIR and staff.
