After discharge from hospital

  • The patient must walk 1 hour a day.
  • Liquid diet supplemented with Optifast/Optisource.
  • Daily healing of wounds with Betadine and change of the soakers.

7 days after the intervention

  • Medical check-up at the clinic.
  • Removal of stitches.
