Diet for patients treated with IGB
General feeding recommendations for patients operated on with IGB
- Keep taking the food supplement during the phases indicated by the specialist
- The shots are taken slowly, with small bites, chewing very well and stopping as soon as you reach the sensation of satiety.
- Eat 5 times a day, or every 3 hours during the time you are awake.
- Remember to drink outside of meals and prioritize the consumption of isotonic drinks for the first 2 weeks.
- Remember that you are not on a diet, but are “learning to eat”, and that the habits you acquire during the time you are on the balloon are FOR YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. Continue them after the balloon is removed at 3 to 6 months.
